Besides its Blue Flag beaches, Ballito is famous for its microlight flight excursion along the coastline. Participants take off at Tinley Manor, a 10-minute drive out of Ballito, and can either go northwards up to the Tugela River Mouth, or south past Salt Rock, Ballito to Zimbali.
